RL CONFERENCE - NORTH WEST PREMIER DIVISION

BLACKPOOL SEA EAGLES 18 LYMM RL 48

Lymm enjoyed a successful trip to the seaside in their final regular game of the season. Despite travelling with a patched up team, Lymm were still too strong for the plucky Sea Eagles and handed debuts to their coaching duo in the shape of former dual code international and St Helens flyer Anthony Sullivan and Ged Sonerson in order to make up the squad.

It was Blackpool who got out of the blocks early with a try but from then on in Lymm took control. Centre Neil Evans led from the front with a hat-trick of tries whilst there was also a brace of touchdowns for Martin Judge, who returned to action with Lymm from Eccles and Salford.

As the tries flowed from both teams, Lymm's other scorers were Paul Flannery, Carl Lloyd, Peter Cannon, Mike Ward and Paul Bagley whilst scrum-half Pete Leonard landed four conversions.

Lymm more than did it tough in the second-half with limited forward rotations and now go onto face Wigan Riversiders on Friday night in the North West Semi-Final as the League heads into its end of season play-off series to determine the overall champions.

Lymm: Carl Lloyd, Mark Fitton, Mike Ward, Neil Evans, Martin Judge, Paul Flannery, Pete Leonard, Nat Ashurst, Tim Stuart, Mick Cadd, Paul Bagley, Zak Lythgoe, Peter Cannon. Subs: Neil Ashurst, Ged Sonerson, Anthony Sullivan.

Tries: Neil Evans (3), Judge (2), Flannery, Lloyd, Cannon, Ward, Bagley.
Goals: Leonard (4)
