RUNCORN RLC 10 LYMM RL 26
An excellent away day performance from Lymm RL allowed the Crouchley
Lane outfit to pick up their first win of the campaign in the Rugby
League Conference North West Premier Division.
Lymm played
up the hill in the first half but it didn't seem to phase them as aggressive
defence and hard work from the forward pack allowed them to set the
platform.
First-half
tries from James Dudley, a brace from the evergreen Mark Fitton as well
as a score from the ever inspirational Pete Cannon and one Peter Leonard
conversion gave the visitors a 4-18 interval advantage.
Having
done the hard work Lymm then had the opportunity to play down the significant
slope in the second-half and further scores followed from Richie Bancroft
and Matt Rockey with Runcorn replying with one converted score of their
own.
Lymm potentially
should have registered more scores in a second-half they dominated but
will still go into next weeks home match against Rhyl full of optimism.
